Recovery is an addiction treatment center dedicated to supporting
individuals affected by substance use and mental health disorders.

center. We're a new approach to an old problem. Job Summary: The
Licensed Clinician, Group Therapy supports individuals in their
journey towards addressing mental health and recovery from
substance abuse and addiction. This role is responsible for leading
and facilitating group therapy sessions, providing support,
guidance, and education to individuals struggling with addiction,
and helping them develop the necessary skills to achieve and
maintain sobriety. Core Responsibilities: Plan and facilitate group
therapy sessions for individuals in various stages of addiction
recovery. Create a safe and supportive environment for group
members to share their experiences, challenges, and successes.
Educate group members about addiction, recovery principles, coping
strategies, and relapse prevention techniques. Utilize
evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to address
the unique needs of each group member. Collaborate with other
addiction treatment professionals, such as counselors, social
workers, and psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive care for group
members. Assist group members in setting and achieving realistic
goals for their recovery journey. Conduct individual assessments to
evaluate the progress and needs of group members. Maintain accurate
and confidential records of group attendance, progress notes, and
treatment plans. Provide crisis intervention and support to group
members experiencing acute emotional distress or substance abuse
cravings. Stay informed about current research, best practices, and
trends in addiction treatment and recovery. Seeks supervision
appropriately. Other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of
responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are
related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.
Education Requirements: Associate or bachelor's degree in health &
human services field. License Requirements: LSW, LPC, LPCC, LCDC
II, or higher license valid in the state of Ohio. QMHS
Certification. BLS/CPR Certification, will train upon hire. CPRS
and/or CPI Certification preferred but not required. Mental Health
First Aid preferred but not required. Experience Requirements:
Lived Experience and/or 2 years of experience in Behavioral Health
and SUD treatment services preferred. Knowledge of addictions,
mental health and behavioral health complications. Knowledge of
community health resources that support life improvement in
physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, economic
security, employment, positive social and family interdependence
and positive cultural identity. Knowledge of referral procedures
and admittance criteria for health care and community providers.
Ability to network and collaborate with healthcare and other social
and cultural agencies that can provide services to the clients and
families. Knowledge of the 12-Step Recovery Program. Knowledge and
competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team
building. Knowledge of alcohol and other drugs and their physical,
emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact on the individual and
family members. Ability to determine if a medical emergency exists
and to take appropriate action, when necessary. Knowledge of
emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose.
Knowledge of the stages of alcohol and other drug withdrawals and
ability to take appropriate action at each stage. Knowledge of
Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate
the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, including:
Confidentiality Patient Rights Professional Code of Ethics
Discrimination Knowledge of basic mental health treatment &
psychosocial education that includes: Trauma Informed Care
Identification of high-risk behaviors and safety planning.
Co-occurring treatment modalities. Crisis Care Knowledge of
airborne and blood borne pathogens (TB, HIV, AIDS, HB) and risk
reduction methodologies and the use of universal precautions. Why
