As a Mortgage Loan Closer, you will work closely with our sales team, our customers and title companies, all of which will rely on you to be organized, accurate and approachable. This role will require an individual to be accommodating while adhering to necessary guidelines in a consistent, professional manner. Your daily responsibilities will include; preparing closing documents for our customers, balance funding amounts with title companies, ensure loan conditions have been satisfied and issuing funds to settlement agencies. A successful Mortgage Loan Closer will thrive at multi-tasking, have great attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills. The ability to effectively communicate with others through written or verbal methods is a must. • Work with title, escrow, settlement agents and attorneys to facilitate the closing of a residential loan
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of loan documents
• Review Loan for compliance with RESPA, RESPA tolerances, TILA and MDIA
• Prepare and send out closing disclosures (CD) for borrowers to sign
• Review all pre-closing requirements including hazard insurance & flood certifications
• Draw and release closing documents to the designated Closing Agent
• Updating, reviewing and validating loan data to ensure loan documents are accurate
• Review loan file to ensure all conditions of loan approval have been met and signed off by the appropriate party.
• Review signed loan documents to verify completed, signed and dated as required
• Balance final figures with the closing agent
• Authorize the release of funds to the borrower Qualifications
  • 2-3 years mortgage industry experience preferred but not required
  • Encompass Loan Origination System experience a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Must have a servant's heart and a desire to learn
