As a Correspondent Loan Underwriter, you will work closely with our sales team and loan coordinator to ensure compliance with bank guidelines for credit quality standards and rendering final approvals accordingly. Responsibilities

• Examine loan disclosures and documentation for accuracy and completeness and work with loan origination partner and lender processing staff to secure all required documents needed to process the loan.
• Reviews and clears all conditions of loan approval.
• Stays current with industry requirements and standards through various training opportunities, as well as current loan products.
• Reviews and evaluates information on mortgage loan application to ensure accuracy and completeness, validate findings to determine that all information matches.
• Review income documents and partner applications for accuracy.
• Meet all departmental goals for productivity, quality, and turnaround time.
• Remain up to date and knowledgeable on all of FNBA's policies and procedures. Qualifications
  • Mortgage industry experience
  • Strong understanding of Bank and Regulatory guidelines
  • Demonstrates experience in federal consumer lending regulations (TILA, RESPA, HMDA, ECOA, and other protection laws and regulations)
  • Knowledge of different income sources
  • Encompass Loan Origination System preferred
  • Understanding of the various documentation types and loan programs
  • Ability to work independently, but interact in team-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast paced operations center while practicing sound lending judgment
  • Communicate effectively in written and verbal formsInterpersonal Skills
