Assistant Director of Development Svcs
Position Summary
The Development Services team comprises of multiple operational and
developmental teams supporting many administrative and educational
applications across the University.
Reporting to the Associate Director for Development Services and
Data Management, the Assistant Director will help direct, maintain,
and monitor the Enterprise Development & Integration team's
operational activities and the Web/Mobile/CMS team. This position
will also collaborate with other MSU IT leadership and Enterprise
Services clients to plan and execute projects and activities across
the organization.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by
completing a four-year college degree program; more than eight
years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive
work experience including three of the following: project
management, client computing, consulting services, financial
management, long range planning and management; experience in
developing enterprise business solutions; experience leading a
diverse team of developers; or an equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
Strong written/verbal communication skills; broad understanding of
the software development lifecycle and change management based on
previous work experience; proven ability to lead a team of
information technology staff; prior experience working in a
university setting with enterprise-level applications; and proven
ability to lead a team supporting production environments while
working on multiple, simultaneous projects and meeting team
deadlines.
