Job Description Job Description Job Summary The Autism Services
Coordinator screens to determine appropriate level of care and
eligibility for Oakland Community Health Network services primarily
for persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and
will complete the screening process for any ABA service requests.
May also be assigned children with emotional disturbances and/or
adults with mental illness. This position is both office and
community-based and will require the ability to travel in the
Oakland County area as needed. Flexibility in scheduling is also
required. Essential Functions Welcome all individuals in need with
excellent customer service skills,empathy,and support. Ensure
adequate,accurateandtimelyeligibility screenings. Assistsin
determination of eligibility for Medicaid specialty services and
supports, based upon screening and coordination with OCHN Access
Team and OCHN Clinical Diagnosticians. Be able to complete all
documentation accurately and completely within theappropriate
timeframes. Set intake appointments with Core Provider Agencies and
other community agencies. Understand and adhere
toestablishedQuality Improvement Indicators and Due Process
timelines. UnderstandOCHNprovider network and be able to inform
appropriate and availablechoiceof agency and services to those who
are deemed eligible for OCHN-funded services. Havea knowledgeof
multiple community resources and communicate these resources to
individuals who are in need and/or do not meet criteria for OCCMHA
services. Be able to link individuals/families to and coordinate
with mental health crisis services whenappropriate. Provide
screening for individuals requesting ABA, coordinate ADOS
appointments and link to chosen provider as needed. Advocates for
youth and families to reducewaittimes tostart ofsupportand
services. Collect all necessary documentation and data for OCHN.
Understand ABA and Core Provider wait list policies and procedures
and be able to appropriately place individuals on the waitlist when
necessary. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements and
Qualifications Education: Master’s degree in relevant
disciplinerequired Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or
certificates): State of Michigan license, certificationand /or
registration as, Psychologist (LLP, LP), Social Worker
(LMSW/LLMSW), Counselor (LPC/LLPC), or Marriage and Family
Therapist (LMFT/LLMFT). For children’s services -maintain/attain 24
hours annually of child-specific training (Child Diagnostic and
Treatment Professional) Experience Requirements: Minimum of 3 three
(3) years relevant experience providing services to individuals
with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or serious
emotional disturbance. Preferred Experience: Experience with the
OCHN network. Job Specific Competencies/Skills Strong interpersonal
and communication skills. Be able to articulate a complex service
system whileestablishingpositive rapport with individuals in need.
Create a welcoming environment thatdemonstratesempathy and
non-judgment. Knowledge of OCHN provider network and how to
accessadditionalcommunity services. Demonstratesa
highlevelofproficiencywith Word, Excel, database, and other
relevant software programs. Demonstratesa highlevel of
interpersonal skills both in direct personal interactions and on
thetelephone. Demonstrateshighlevel of oral and written
communication skills. Demonstrates ability to handle a high volume
ofrelatively complexassignments accurately andtimely. Demonstrates
organizational skills needed toestablishoffice procedures
andmaintainfiles and records. Knowledge and understanding of
admission and discharge criteria for each treatment program and be
able todetermineand designateappropriate levelsof care. Knowledge
of screening andassessmentinstruments for autism and other
behavioral health disorders. Knowledge of DSM-V. Knowledge of
Michigan Mental Health Code. Understanding ofrecipient rights
policies. Understanding of trauma informed principles. Knowledge of
LOCUSandMichiCANS. Knowledge of substantial functional limitations.
Knowledge of Children’s SED Waiver requirements. Ability to use
basic intervention skills. Oakland Community Health Network’s Core

Additional Information Must have available means of transportation
to and from OCHN and for required offsite meetings or site visits.
Must be available for meetings and events which may occur outside
of standard office hours. Work performed primarily in an office
environment. Hybrid (onsite/remote) work schedule available. The
