working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Kalamazoo,
Michigan, 49007! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing

per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years of PCU/Stepdown Experience
Required License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, ONC or ONS
Certification Required Must-Have: - Administering Chemotherapy via
IV experience - Starting IVs experience Description: This position
requires ONCC or ONS certification, with the willingness to accept
pending ONS. The unit provides care for general medicine and
oncology step-down patients. Work schedules may be available for 36
or 48 hours per week. The unit utilizes Welch Allyn Vital sign
towers and sigma IV pumps for patient care. Documentation is
completed using the EPIC system. The nurse-to-patient ratio is
typically 1:4-6. Support staff is available if ratios exceed
standard limits. Charge RNs are generally not assigned patient care
but may assist in managing ratios. Chemo admits may decrease
assignment ratios as well. Block scheduling may be accommodated
based on requests. Weekends are assigned by management, while the
remainder of days can be requested through self-scheduling. The
clinician must be available for the first two weeks of the
assignment. Requests for time off after the offer will be discussed
with management on-site. Weekend coverage is required every other
weekend. The unit supports interdisciplinary services including
physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Common
patient diagnoses include sepsis, renal failure, respiratory
failure, cancer, heart failure, and DKA. Required skills include
monitoring chemotherapy, starting and maintaining IVs, and
administering chemotherapy. Travelers may float to other
medical-surgical areas as needed. Documentation of flu vaccination
is required upon submission. Vaccination exemptions must be
submitted within 48 hours of signing the contract. 5 Benefits of
