Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg
position specializing in neurological disorders, requiring a
Michigan RN license and BLS certification. Responsibilities - Work
on a 40-bed Medical Surgical unit specializing in neurological
disorders, spinal surgeries, and seizure monitoring - Patient
population includes stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis,
neurosurgical, orthosurgical, laminectomy, and spinal fusion cases
- Unit includes six step-down/telemetry beds, six bariatric beds,
and a four-bed Neuro Monitoring Unit - Night shift is 3x12 hours
(19:00–07:30) - Night shift ratios are 1:5-6; Charge RN may take
patients based on staffing - Required to work every other weekend -
May float to other Med/Surg units, ICU units, and ED waiting rooms
- Uses EPIC for EMR and Pyxis for medication dispensing - Care for
patients with a wide range of neurological, neurosurgical, and
spinal conditions - Work in a diverse environment including adult
and pediatric patients starting at age 5 in the Neuro Monitoring
Unit - No LPN coverage on night shifts - No requests for time off
permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license required - Current BLS certification
(AHA) required - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required;
pending accepted but must be obtained prior to start - Preferred
1-2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience Benefits - High Pay and
