We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a 20-day locum tenens assignment in Michigan starting Feb 1, 2026. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule with available 12- or 24-hour shifts and covers a range of acute care cases in both adult and pediatric populations. Job Details Location: Michigan Start Date: Feb 1, 2026 LOA: 20 days Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Physician Schedule: Multiple 12- or 24-hour shifts, including day, evening, and overnight options throughout Feb 2026 (see detailed dates and times below) Scheduled Shifts Jan 2, 2026 – Jan 3, 2026: 1600-0200 Jan 14, 2026 – Jan 15, 2026: 2000-0700 Jan 17, 2026 – Jan 18, 2026: 1400-0000 Jan 18, 2026 – Jan 19, 2026: 1400-0000 Jan 24, 2026: 0800-1800 Feb 1, 2026 – Feb 2, 2026: 2100-0700 Feb 4, 2026 – Feb 5, 2026: 2100-0700 Feb 8, 2026 – Feb 9, 2026: 1600-0200 Feb 9, 2026 – Feb 10, 2026: 1600-0200 Feb 11, 2026 – Feb 12, 2026: 2100-0700 Feb 13, 2026: 1100-2100 Feb 14, 2026: 0600-1600 Feb 15, 2026: 1100-2100 Feb 20, 2026 – Feb 21, 2026: 2100-0700 Feb 21, 2026 – Feb 22, 2026: 2100-0700 Feb 22, 2026 – Feb 23, 2026: 2100-0700 Feb 28, 2026: 1100-2100 Responsibilities and Duties Provide emergency medical care to adult and pediatric patients Perform family medicine and emergency procedures, including: Adult and pediatric outpatient management Newborn resuscitation Orthopedic care of non-displaced fractures Suturing of minor lacerations Incision and drainage Management of uncomplicated psychiatric cases (adult, child/adolescent, geriatric) Diagnosis and management of common industrial-related medical issues Airway management and various ventilation modes Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues Central and arterial line placement EKG interpretation Arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, and paracentesis Other emergency medicine-related procedures Additional Information Must be board certified in Emergency Medicine by ABEM or AOBEM BLS and ATLS certifications required Active Michigan medical license required at time of submission Provider must be local to Michigan Emergency department experience highly preferred Clean background for rapid credentialing is mandatory Self-Query NPDB report required within recent 90 days Desired shift selection required at time of application Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
