Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Kalamazoo, MI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,798 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Stepdown or ICU department License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with Cerner charting system required - Ability to float within different units as needed Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in a stepdown intermediate care unit. The nurse will work 4 twelve-hour shifts during the day. Call requirements may apply. Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4. Candidates with 2 years of experience in a stepdown or ICU department are preferred. First-time travelers are accepted. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. The unit has a 22-bed capacity and provides care for adult and geriatric patients. Typical patient diagnoses include pneumonia, sepsis, chronic heart failure, and post-surgical care. Nursing staff will receive interdisciplinary support from various services. Candidates must be prepared to complete up to 8 hours of training modules prior to starting. Professional conduct is crucial due to the sensitivity of the position. Any issues related to unprofessional behavior may result in immediate contract termination.
