Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 12 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Radiology Interventional Technologist Location: Clinton Township, MI 48038 Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 5x8-Hour Day Shifts Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (May extend to 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM as needed) Hours per Week: 40 Hours Guaranteed Hours: Dependent on facility requirements On-Call Requirement: Must be available for after-hours on-call support, Monday–Friday, with 8 hours of daily availability. Job Summary Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Radiology Interventional Technologist performs invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures to assist in the evaluation and treatment of pathological conditions as prescribed by a physician. Key Responsibilities /t - Explain procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations /t - Obtain and review patient medical history and clinical data /t - Prepare and administer contrast media, medications, and IV solutions /t - Assist Radiologist during complex diagnostic and interventional procedures /t - Prepare and maintain sterile equipment, monitors, injectors, and imaging equipment /t - Ensure adequate supply and proper storage of procedural materials /t - Assess patient condition before, during, and after procedures /t - Operate imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images /t - Perform radiation safety practices following ALARA principles /t - Manage PACS image quality, corrections, and image delivery /t - Complete RIS documentation including study start, completion, and indexing /t - Perform quality assurance procedures and required documentation /t - Assist with training of new staff or students as needed /t - Work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment Required Education /t - High School Diploma or GED required /t - Must maintain required continuing medical education hours Required Certification & Licensure /t - Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required /t - ARRT registration required with advanced certification in one of the following: /t 1. Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) /t 2. Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) /t 3. Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) Additional Skills /t - Experience operating power injectors /t - Ability to work with guidewires /t - Experience with stent grafting, including emergency procedures /t - Ability to work independently/solo /t - Must be a self-starter HonorVet Technologies Job ID 31774656.
