Job Description:
Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Tech Profession: Radiology
Specialty: Cardiology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per
Shift: 10 Experience: 1 Year Minimum Preferred License: Current ODH
Licensure Certifications: ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB Registered
Must-Have: Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology
training in an AMA-approved school in Nuclear Medicine. 1 year of
PET/CT experience or eligibility for PET/CT advanced registry is
preferred. PET/CT advanced certification is preferred. CPR
certification through the American Heart Association is required.
Description: Operates equipment and all related instrumentation.
Makes appropriate imaging decisions for technique, positioning, and
radiation protection. Administers radiopharmaceuticals under the
direction of the supervising Radiologist, documenting
appropriately. Maintains awareness of potential adverse reactions.
Practices sterile technique and prevents cross-contamination.
Maintains necessary records, which include properly labeling images
for interpretation. Rotates within the department and performs
exams in acute care hospital and outpatient clinical locations.
