Job Description Psychiatry opening in Battle Creek, MI-Full Time
& Permanent Position.Newly built 96-bed inpatient hospital in
Battle Creek, Michigan. We provide an acute inpatient treatment
program for adults who are struggling with behavioral health
concerns. Due to expansion, we are looking for an additional full
time Psychiatrist to join the team. Overview:Responsible for the
diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination
of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis,
hospitalization and/or medication. Summary:-Responsible for
providing clinical services to patients at the facility. -Practice
within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations,
as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures. -Review
medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to
offer medical recommendations. -Evaluate patients for mental,
emotional or behavioral disorders. -Treat or direct treatment of
patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and
medications. -Review and complete medical information for
individual care plans, documents services and information in a
timely manner. Qualifications: -Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or
DO) required. -One or more years post graduate degree practice
preferred. -Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
-Licenses/Certifications: Board certification in psychiatry;
Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without
restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the
practitioner will be working.
