OverviewFirst National Bank of America is seeking an exceptional candidate to join the Legal Department. The Department is responsible for the management of all legal proceedings nationwide, including foreclosures, bankruptcies, evictions, and other state and federal litigation. The Department also aids other Bank units, resolving internal and external legal questions, and lending Department expertise and personnel as needed. Most importantly, the Department seeks to resolve severely delinquent accounts through borrower communication, remedy enforcement, and dispute resolution. The Associate Asset Manager plays an integral role in each of the Department's functions. Job Type: Full-time Location: On-site in our East Lansing, MI office*Remote is not availableResponsibilities

• Review and analyze loan terms and information
• Communicate with borrowers regarding loan status and resolution options
• Prepare and serve legal notices
• Retain and refer matters to local counsel
• Communicate with and direct local counsel
• Prepare and record documents affecting real property (e.g., mortgages, land contracts, assignments, deeds, and releases)
• Prepare and file bankruptcy claims
• Monitor payments
• Process invoices
• Maintain accurate account information
