Job Description Job Description Position Summary The Residential
Fireplace Installer is responsible for the safe and professional
installation, troubleshooting, and servicing of hearth products for
Williams dealers and residential customers. This role requires
mechanical aptitude, physical agility, and a commitment to
delivering exceptional customer service. Installers work closely
with internal staff and external clients to ensure timely and
accurate completion of installations in accordance with company
standards and safety regulations. Position Responsibilities May
include; Install and troubleshoot fireplaces and related hearth
products at residential sites Communicate professionally with
customers and internal staff via phone, text, and email Follow
installation procedures and complete tasks as directed by manager
or trainer Review manuals, building codes, and technical documents
to confirm installation requirements Use electronic scheduling
systems via smartphone or tablet to manage daily tasks Operate hand
tools, battery-powered tools, and AC-powered tools safely and
effectively Utilize ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and harnesses to
access elevated areas such as roofs, attic spaces, and chases Work
in confined or elevated spaces including crawl spaces, ducts, and
above ceilings Handle and install materials such as manufactured
fireplaces, mantels (wood and cast), stone surrounds, metal
venting, sheet metal, and gas lines Maintain a clean and organized
work environment Phone Program/Business use: Company Provided
Device or Personal Device Reimbursement Perform additional duties
as assigned by the Installation Services Manager, GM of Hearth
Products, or other senior leadership Nature & Scope Works within
well-defined instructions Uses established procedures and works
under supervision to perform assigned tasks Work is closely
supervised Knowledge & Skills Proficient in the use of hand tools,
battery-powered tools, and AC-powered tools Comfortable using
ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and harnesses (when required) to
access elevated areas such as roofs, attic spaces, and chases
Physically capable of working in challenging positions including
climbing up to 40 feet, navigating crawl spaces, ducts, and
above-ceiling areas Experience handling and installing materials
such as manufactured fireplaces, wood and cast mantels, natural
stone surrounds, metal venting, sheet metal, and gas lines Strong
attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols Effective
verbal and written communication skills for interacting with
customers and internal staff Ability to follow well-defined
instructions and established procedures Comfortable working under
close supervision while maintaining a high level of professionalism
Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and installation
methods Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work both
independently and as part of a team Competency Experience 0-2 years
of relevant trades experience Education/Certification High school
diploma or GED equivalent People Management No Physical
Requirements / Work Environment Must be able to safely and
effectively perform all primary job responsibilities in a
physically demanding environment Ability to lift, carry, and
maneuver materials weighing up to 75 lbs, including repetitive
handling and team lifts for heavier items Comfortable working in
elevated and confined spaces such as roofs, chases, attics, crawl
spaces, ducts, and above ceilings Capable of climbing ladders,
scaffolding, and operating high-lift equipment up to 40 feet
Regular use of safety equipment including ladders, scaffolding,
lifts, and harnesses (when required) to access elevated work areas
Skilled in handling and installing a variety of materials including
manufactured fireplaces, wood and cast mantels, natural stone
surrounds, metal venting, sheet metal, and gas lines Proficient in
the use of hand tools, battery-powered tools, and AC-powered tools
in both indoor and outdoor environments Reports To: Manager,
