This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the East Lansing, Michigan area, at a company where effort is rewarded. Candidates with the ability to to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be preferred. This position will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. This position is ideal for someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.Your responsibilities in this role- Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting- Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries- Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks- Participate in various department-wide initiatives- Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision- Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules- Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll- Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation- Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management- Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP- In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations- Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner- Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliationFor immediate consideration call Jimmy Tunney at
